Digital Communications Support Officer
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our dynamic communications and marketing team as WCVA’s ‘Digital Communications Support Officer’.
We’re looking for a Welsh speaker to join WCVA as a Digital Communications Support Officer. This in an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in communications and marketing. It’s also a chance for anyone with strong people skills to put them to good use helping WCVA carry out its purpose – to enable voluntary organisation in Wales to make a bigger difference together.

Full time, 35 hours per week, flexibly
£27,914 increasing to £29,043 per annum following successful completion of a probationary period.
12 months fixed term – with possibility of extension
WCVA provides a contribution of 9% of your annual salary to its approved pension scheme.
Base and flexibility: At WCVA, we embrace hybrid and flexible working. With staff working flexibly across Wales, you'll have the option to work remotely (including from home) or at our office hubs located in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, and across North Wales hiring small community spaces to bring staff together. There are no mandated office days beyond key meetings and specific team requirements.

Some of your main duties will include:
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating communications for a variety of platforms including our website, social media channels and e-newsletters
- Working with different internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to create engaging content that promotes the work of the voluntary sector
- Contributing to the planning of communications and marketing to ensure that our voice is consistent in both Welsh and English
You will also work closely with other WCVA teams and external partners where you’ll get to see all the different and exciting projects that we’re involved in. You’ll hear first-hand (and help to tell) the truly inspiring stories of charities and voluntary groups across Wales.
This job is highly varied, with no two days the same. An extremely rewarding role for a motivated, well-organised individual who likes a challenge and wants to use their skills to make a positive contribution to the Welsh voluntary sector.
