Vendor Development Worker – Cardiff

  • Part Time: 21 hours per week

The Big Issue are currently seeking a part time Vendor Development  worker. Vendor Development Workers identify those Big Issue vendors who are ready to move on from selling The Big Issue either through training, volunteer work or employment.

Taking a holistic approach to identify those individuals who are seeking to advance themselves we help them to develop their skills and employability. Through developing supportive relationships, we identify individuals’ aspirations and work with them to help realise their full potential.

Based in our Cardiff office you will also travel around the South Wales area engaging with vendors on outreach.

You must have strong attention to detail, a sense of humour and accuracy in record keeping & cash handling. An understanding of the practical and emotional needs of homeless people is an advantage as is being a Welsh language speaker. 

A clean driving licence and commitment to the social objectives of The Big Issue are essential.
