YMCA Swansea was established in 1886, is a charity & limited company and operates as a social business. We are part of a federation of 116 YMCAs in England & Wales, and are part of an international movement with 52 million members worldwide.
Our aim is to tackle poverty and improve quality of life for communities in Swansea and across Wales.
We currently have a number of vacancies available for two new employability projects, which are due to start with immediate effect. The YES Project (Adult) will upskill, & support 400 adults aged 25+ who have low skills, work limiting health conditions or from jobless households in Rhondda Cynon Taff & Swansea, by providing access to services to raise aspirations and confidence to move them towards becoming economically active and closer to employment.
The YES Project (YMCA Employability Support) YOUTH – Sports & Arts Youth Project will upskill, & support 400 NEET young people who have low skills and work limiting health conditions in Mid, South West and South East Wales, by providing access to services, raise aspirations and confidence move them towards becoming economically active and closer to employment.
