Project Manager, Theatre Versus Oppression

Project Manager

We are looking for an exceptional individual to provide artistic and organisational leadership.

The project manager will continue to build Theatre versus Oppression’s (TVO) ‘Behind The Label’ projects and by so doing will also continue to build the organisation’s high profile and reputation for quality, whilst developing strategies to ensure its future sustainability.

TVO is a multi-arts charity, using Applied Theatre methods to help individuals find their voice, playing a central role in the third sector in Wales, and contributing to the artistic vibrancy of Cardiff.  Key signature projects give us a unique identity, including international creative projects and our film work. One of these projects working with homelessness and addiction is our Behind the Label project.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to develop our successful ‘Behind the Label’ programme, and to build the organisation’s strategic role in Wales, individually and as part of collaborative networks.  This is a hands-on role, providing leadership for our small, committed team and being a figurehead for the projects in question.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of Applied Theatre and of working with vulnerable adults, as well as creative programming, management and leadership in a small organisation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, energy, creativity and commitment, and an enterprising approach to fundraising and income generation.
