Part-time Finance Administrator
Responsible to: Finance Manager
Salary: WCVA Grade A: £17,419 increasing to £18,070 per annum pro-rata following successful completion of a six- month probationary period
Annual leave: Pro-rata to hours worked, 25 days plus bank holidays plus five discretionary days
Travel: Use of public transport is preferred; when this is not convenient staff may use their own vehicles or use the car rental system. Mileage rates are paid in accordance with recommended Inland Revenue rates.
Hours: 21 hours per week. A flexi time scheme is in operation and time off in lieu is permissible for any work required to be undertaken outside the normal hours.
Superannuation: The post will attract a maximum contribution of 9% of annual salary to an approved pension scheme.
Language skills: Welsh Language is desirable but not essential to the post.
Essential Qualifications: A keen interest in working in a finance department which produces management and financial accounts, and/or to study towards a finance qualification.
Aim of the Post
To ensure that WCVA’s day to day financial transactions are processed in a timely and correct manner. To ensure that WCVA’s credit control policies are adhered to and that monies owed to WCVA are recovered whenever possible.
To work with the Finance Manager to ensure that WCVA’s financial practices are robust and meet best practice standards.
