SYSHP is a housing charity, which has been delivering services to vulnerable, socially excluded homeless and potentially homeless young people for over 20 years. For young people at an age where they are no longer children and not quite adults, life can be pretty tough. For those who have come out of care or broken up with their families and are worried where they will live, it’s unbearable.

We currently have the following vacancy:

1 x Housing Manager Co-ordinator 37.30 hours salary £22,034

Holidays 32 days per year including Statutory Holidays

The post holder will take the lead role in the provision of housing management and related services, liaising closely with other senior members of staff as required thus ensuring that SYSHP delivers quality housing where young people feel safe and secure and want to live.

Key areas of responsibility are:  

Housing and Tenancy Management, making sure young people understand their rights and comply with the obligations of their agreementsEstate management and maintenance, making sure that properties are let to a lettable   standard and are well maintainedVoid control / lettings and allocations, making sure waiting lists are up to date and voids   are minimised through timely allocation of propertiesIncome management, benefit applications are made thus minimizing arrears and     maximising income. Participation, encouraging young people to voice their views and be involved in how we    manage our accommodation
