Head of Influencing and Communications - Wales
Flexible location/home-based - with at least 2 days per week working in the Caerphilly office
c.£40,000 per annum ¦35 hours per week
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader to join the Senior Management Team in Wales and drive our vision through our influencing work. This key role includes leading on external policy and influencing in Wales and helping to shape and deliver our communications strategies with opportunities to work collaboratively with our national Marketing and External Affairs team and colleagues across the UK.
You will be confident in delivering both written and oral communications. A sound understanding of the Welsh media and political scene, and of the policies and legislation affecting people affected by stroke in Wales is essential.
Working with stroke survivors and their carers, you will be an empathetic, determined and experienced ambassador as well as a skilled negotiator to champion our cause; engaging with top policy makers, commentators and influencers.
This is a fast-paced, challenging and complex role, requiring a wide set of skills that include: sound leadership, strategy development, bilingual communication delivery and using influencing skills to achieve positive change.
You will show excellent interpersonal skills to lead a dedicated team in Wales and successfully manage a diverse range of collaborative internal and external relationships.
Travel to meetings around the UK and occasional overnight stays are a requirement of this post.
