City Hospice is Cardiff’s local hospice, caring for people with incurable illness in their own homes. We help patients stay symptom free, and support them and their families so that they live life to the full and make the most of every day.
We support over 1,000 patients and their families each year. The NHS contributes around 30% of our income and we raise the balance of over £1m each year from donations, fundraising events, our charity shops and gifts in wills.
We are looking for a highly creative and motivated individual who is able to fundraise effectively from a range of sources, plan and deliver successful fundraising events, and deliver excellent supporter care.
The successful candidate will have proven fundraising experience within the events, community or corporate environment and a track record of delivering substantial income from a range of fundraising activities.
An outstanding communicator who is able to develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is essential as is the ability to manage a large number of tasks.
Working as part of the Income Generation Team you should have experience of working with volunteers, have a pro-active and flexible approach and be willing to work outside normal working hours.
