City Hospice is Cardiff’s local hospice providing home- based palliative care and support to patients suffering from incurable illnesses and their families. We support over 1,000 patients and their families each year. The NHS contributes around 30% of our income and we raise the balance of over £1m each year from donations, fundraising events, our charity shops and gifts in wills.
The successful candidate will be required to design and deliver innovative events and ensure effective promotion and successful delivery within budget. Applicants should be able to demonstrate substantial experience of event management and have the ability to manage a large number of tasks with multiple deadlines. Working as part of the Income Generation Team you should have experience of working with volunteers, have a pro-active and flexible approach and be willing to work outside normal working hours. You should be educated to degree level (ideally in a relevant subject such as Event Management) or have the equivalent, relevant work experience.
