Development Officer – Community Wealth Building
Location: Tredegar or Penywaun, with delivery across Wales coalfield priority areas
Salary: £37,777
Contract: Funded until 2031

This role forms part of the Inclusive Ownership project, a UK-wide partnership funded by The National Lottery Community Fund to support communities to take ownership of land and buildings.
Organisation Profile
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is the only community wealth building charity dedicated to regenerating Britain’s coalfield communities. For over 25 years, CRT has worked with communities and partners to create opportunities, strengthen community organisations and develop place-based solutions in former coalmining towns and villages.
About the Role
CRT is seeking a Development Officer to support Welsh coalfield communities to explore and secure ownership of land and buildings, helping strengthen community wealth building in former coalfield areas.
The post will support community organisations with ownership, sustainable economic models, investment readiness and resilience, while capturing learning to inform policy and practice across the UK.
About You
You will have experience in community wealth building, community ownership, regeneration or local economic development.
You will bring strong partnership, project management, communication and reporting skills, with knowledge of Welsh coalfield communities.
