Debt Caseworker
We are looking for people to provide debt advice and casework via face-to-face, telephone and digital channels to clients throughout Wales as part of the Citizens Advice Advicelink Cymru service.

Hours: Full-Time- 37 hours per week; Monday - Friday
Salary: Salary from £28,642- £31,803 per annum depending on experience
Holidays: 30 days’ annual leave per annum, plus Bank Holidays

Debt Caseworker Vacancy – Further Information
All training and minimum 6-month probationary period will be office based. Following completion of this there may be the opportunity to work some hours at home if this is desirable.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidates will:
- Have experience of or a commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes, either face to face, via telephone or other digital channels
- Be passionate about advocating on behalf of clients and negotiating with third parties to help resolve their debt problems
- Have an understanding of the debt process and solutions available
- Have experience in supporting clients in managing their finances and maximising their incomes.
- Welsh language applications are highly encouraged

Job Duties
- Provide casework covering the full range of debt advice and, where appropriate, other areas of advice.
- Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns
- Offer support and solutions to clients in accordance with policies
*After completing 5 consecutive, complete years, you will be entitled to an extra day of annual leave and a further day for each additional year worked, up to a maximum of 5 days (pro rata for part-timers). In addition to this:
- On the anniversary of completing 10 consecutive years of service, you will be entitled to an additional day of annual leave (pro rata for part-timers)
- On the anniversary of completing 20 consecutive years of service, you will be entitled to an additional 3 days of annual leave (pro rata for part-timers)
- On the anniversary of completing 25 consecutive years of service, you will be entitled to an additional 1 day’s annual leave (pro rata for part-timers)
