The Women’s Workshop, Cardiff training centre is taking forward strand 2 of the Women Adding Value to the Economy project (WAVE) and is looking to appoint a Project manager
WAVE is a partnership project funded by the Convergence European Social Fund, through the Welsh Government. The partnership of 3 organisations is led by the University of Glamorgan and includes Cardiff University and The Women’s Workshop, Cardiff Training Centre (TWW). This post is with TWW which is a voluntary sector women’s training organization. The overall aim of this new project is to promote Gender Equality in the Workplace through a series of interrelated and targeted activities involving work with employers, employees and self- employed women. The project as a whole has 3 main strands
Strand 1 – the development of tools and techniques to challenge gender based inequalities, especially pay inequalities, in organisations and to redress them with more equitable systems;
Strand 2 – the development of interventions and activities to address issues of occupational segregation within the workforce.
Strand 3 – the development of interventions to empower and up-skill women in, or aiming towards, self employment and to encourage and enable them to aspire higher and command increased levels of remuneration.
The Women’s Workshop is taking forward strand 2 and is looking to appoint a project manager to lead this strand, working with project partners and stakeholders in ensuring that progress towards the delivery of the expected outcomes is managed and monitored and to ultimately ensure successful delivery.
