  • Summary

    Responsible for the overall day to day finance function based at County Hall, Cardiff.

    Job Role

    Processing of daily, weekly and monthly financial transactions. Performing all reconciliations of data including bank, debtors, and creditors. Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments onto the organisation’s software. Managing grant income and expenditure. Supporting the loan and share functions. Checking Nominal accounts for accuracy in preparation for month/year end accounts. Completing all month end financial procedures. Production of monthly key financial indicators for management. Maintaining timesheet systems and providing reports to Chief Executive as requested. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets for income, salaries and operational expenditure for senior management. Processing & preparation of quarterly returns and liaison with FSA & ABCUL, where appropriate. Assisting the Chief Executive in the preparation of Quarterly Management accounts. Assisting the Chief Executive in the preparation of Year-end accounts. Maintaining data retention systems (e.g. backups and filing) for financial information. Monitoring debt reports and supporting the credit control team. Any other tasks consistent with the above as directed by the Chief Executive.
