Quest has received three years funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation to deliver a Transitions project providing increased opportunities in education, training and employment for young people with learning disabilities or special education needs within Cardiff.
You will work autonomously in the community to assess, mentor and motivate young people towards suitable "stepping stones" in education, training and work. Responsibilities include: establishing links with schools, careers advisers, social workers families and carers, carrying out initial assessments, completing Vocational profiles, negotiating with suitable employers and providing job coach support. You must be a strong communicator both verbally and in writing and confident at delivering presentations and workshops. You must have relevant
experience in this field and an NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance would be an advantage. An understanding of the Supported Employment model with a sound knowledge of ‘reasonable adjustments in the workplace’ is desirable.
Quest Employment Agency is a department within Innovate Trust, a local charity who has been supporting people with Learning Disabilities for over 30 years.
Innovate Trust is committed to becoming an equal opportunities employer.
